आधार कार्ड हे आज भारतातील सर्वात महत्त्वाचे identity document आहे — आणि त्यावरील photo ही specific UIDAI guidelines प्रमाणे असावी लागते. नवीन enrolment, address update, photo update, किंवा print साठी photo चे exact specifications माहित नसल्याने अनेक applications reject होतात. या लेखात आधार photo साठी सर्व technical requirements — size, DPI, dimensions, format — संपूर्ण मार्गदर्शन देतो.

UIDAI Official Photo Specifications

आधार card साठी UIDAI ने ठरवलेल्या specifications:

• Format: JPG / JPEG only (PNG accepted नाही)
• Dimensions: 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm (Width × Height — passport size)
• Pixel dimensions: 213 × 276 pixels at 150 DPI
• File size: 20 KB ते 50 KB
• Background: Plain white किंवा light blue/grey
• Color: Color photo (black & white accepted नाही)
• Recency: 6 महिन्यांच्या आत काढलेली photo
• Face position: Front-facing, सरळ नजर camera कडे
• Face coverage: Photo च्या 70-80% area मध्ये चेहरा
• Expression: Neutral, smile नको, mouth बंद

Photo च्या quality साठी guidelines

1. Lighting: समोरून भरपूर natural किंवा soft light. Side shadows टाळा. Forehead, चेहरा, दोन्ही कान स्पष्ट दिसले पाहिजेत.

2. Background: Plain solid color background — पांढरा सर्वोत्तम. Multi-color, patterned, किंवा cluttered background नको. भिंत किंवा white sheet वापरून simple background तयार करा.

3. Face position: Camera direct face level वर असावा. नजर पुढे (camera कडे), डोके सरळ. Tilted किंवा side profile photo reject होतो.

4. Eye visibility: दोन्ही डोळे fully open आणि visible असावे. चष्मा घातला असेल तर reflection नसावा — आणि dark glasses शक्यतो टाळा.

5. Hair coverage: Hair forehead पूर्णतः झाकू नये. Religious head covering (हिजाब, पगडी, टोपी) allowed आहे — पण face features clearly दिसले पाहिजेत.

6. Makeup: Heavy makeup टाळा — natural look रहावा. Photo आणि actual face यात मोठा फरक नको.

आधार Photo साठी DPI काय असावी?

DPI (Dots Per Inch) हे photo resolution measure करते. आधार photo साठी:

• Screen / online upload साठी: 150 DPI सर्वोत्तम
• Print quality साठी: 300 DPI
• Mobile camera photos (default): 72 DPI — हे online साठी पुरेसे आहे जर pixel dimensions योग्य असतील

DPI जास्त ठेवल्यास file size वाढते — आणि आधार ची 50 KB limit cross होते. म्हणून 150 DPI optimal आहे — पुरेशी resolution आणि compact file size दोघांचा balance.

Mobile वरून आधार Photo कशी तयार करायची

Professional studio न जाता मोबाईलवर आधार-compliant photo तयार करण्याचे पद्धत:

1. Setup: पांढऱ्या भिंतीसमोर उभे रहा. Natural light समोरून (window) येऊ द्या.
2. Camera distance: 1 ते 1.5 meter — झूम न करता ठेवा. Distance कमी असेल तर distortion होतो.
3. Mobile setting: Default camera mode, flash off, portrait mode टाळा (background blur नको)
4. Photo घ्या: Front-facing, सरळ, neutral expression

आधार enrolment / update साठी photo कुठे upload करायची?

आधार update online process मध्ये photo upload चे options:

• UIDAI Online (myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in): Photo update सध्या online available नाही — center visit आवश्यक
• SSUP (Self-Service Update Portal): Address, mobile number update online — photo नाही
• Authorized CSC / Aadhaar enrolment center: Photo update फक्त इथेच होते. Center वर बायोमेट्रिक देखील घेतले जाते
• Appointment booking: appointments.uidai.gov.in वर online slot book करा

म्हणजेच आधार photo update फक्त physical center वर होते, online अर्ज नाही. पण तुम्ही आपली photo आधीच तयार ठेवल्यास center वर वेळ वाचतो.

आधार Photo Print — A4 / 4x6 / Passport Size
