Step 2: Set a Target File Size (Optional)
This is the most powerful feature of our tool. For best results, use JPG or WebP format when compressing photos — they offer the highest compression ratios with minimal visible quality loss. Use PNG only when your image has a transparent background or contains text and sharp graphics where lossless quality is essential.

When submitting to government portals or job applications, always check the exact size requirement first (e.g., "below 100KB") and enter that value in the KB field. The tool will automatically optimize dimensions and quality to meet the target.
